Postgraduate Certificate (441 AA) and Postgraduate Diploma (441 AB)

The Postgraduate Certificate in Environment and Postgraduate Diploma in Environment provide students with the flexibility to explore various areas or study disciplines that contribute to the current environment.

The Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma are both coursework awards. Both programs allow students to take a range of subjects at the 4th year level and above from 10 participating faculties.

A student who intends to progress into the Master of Environment should consider the stream they may want to be awarded with, and choose their subjects accordingly. An academic advisor will help each student develop a study plan and ensure that it fulfils the requirements of the University.

*A relevant prior qualification is generally considered to be one where the key skills learnt are easily transferable to the proposed area of postgraduate study.

For example, if a student has completed a Bachelor of Arts and hopes to study their passion, conservation for animals and their habitats, it is most likely that they will be required to complete a Graduate Diploma in Environment first. This will provide them with a basic foundation in genetics and biology so that they can commence postgraduate study on equal footing with the other students.
